Hello
My name is Chloe and in 2023 I created Strong Girls Club North West (SGCNW).

Between 2022-2023 I had three miscarriages; The first one at 12weeks, a missed miscarriage requiring surgery the next day, the second at 10 weeks requiring medical management and the third at 8 weeks which happened naturally. Each time I was reviewed by the hospital, but never contacted again. No message from the GP, no contact from any health professional whatsoever. I didn't know many people personally who had experienced miscarriage, but I couldn't believe the lack of care. It was only after my third miscarriage I was referred to a recurrent miscarriage clinic. Bloods and an ultrasound showed no reason for our miscarriages so we never really got any answers. We were told to keep trying.
It was at this point, I set up Strong Girls Club North West Facebook and Instagram pages to share my story, raise awareness and build a community of local women suffering loss of all kinds.

In April 2023, I fell pregnant and had researched progesterone so asked the RMC whether this was an option. I was put on progesterone until 16 weeks and despite an anxious pregnancy had my rainbow baby boy in January 2024.
In a cruel turn of events, our first daughter, who had just turned 4, unexpectedly and tragically passed away in April 2024. Despite some amazing bereavement support, I was told there was no local bereaved parents face to face support groups. There were some down south but nothing locally. This is when I knew I had to take the group further, to set up a proper face to face support group and a build a community of those affected by loss.

So this is where the next chapter of our story begun. In September 2024, we held our first SGCNW session at The Living Well Hub in Warrington town centre. The sessions are relaxed and informal. A place to chat, to others in similiar positions and facing similar challenges. A place to relax, feel safe and have a cuppa and a biscuit. A place to do some mindfulness activities and crafts. And maybe, a place where women feel they can be open, a weight has been lifted by sharing their own story and they have had a positive impact on someone else's journey.
Some sessions we also have guests come to share their knowledge and we hope to welcome many more in 2025.
Strong Girls Club North West- Stronger together.
